Hey everyone!
I don’t know if someone asked before in regards to anvil wobble .
I have bought a second hand cxs and have noticed that the anvil in which you insert centrotec or jacobs chuck . I can even move it left to right up and down. I haven’t checked a new to see if this is normal for cxs but I have as well a new t18 and the anvil doesn’t move at wall zero wobbling

It sounds like you have problems with y0ur tool.  You should contact Festool service.

That is not the answer I was looking for. I need someone to answer who knows cxs drill. I did take it apart and besides the retaining ring that holds the anvil in place, nothing is wrong with it. And I did replace the retaining ring with a new one. The drill is 2017-08
What I need to know on a new cxs anvil has a small runout or is supposed to run tight with no wobble as T18 drill?

All of the Centrotec drills should have minimal runout or play in the primary shaft, including the T18, C18, C12, CXS, and TXS.

2017-08 means that it was built in August, 2017, making it just shy of 5 1/2 years old.  Depending on how hard it was used or abused in that time, it may be worn or have been dropped and misaligned.  As Peter said, your drill sounds like it needs service.

My unit is from 2015, there is minimal, barely noticeable, play/movement on the main shaft if I carefully "force" it.

As long as the drill runs true with both type of chucks, I wouldn't worry about it. If it really wobbles, that would be a different story and not OK.

Kind regards,
Oliver
