Not sure this is the right area, but I will be in Prague in about a week.  I was thinking since I will be in Europe I might be able to get some 8mm router bits, and some Centrotec gear.

Can anyone recommend a Festool dealer in Prague.

Thanks

CZ is pretty expensive for a lot of these goods (not always). Somehow most dealers (of any premium-ish brand) think they should sell their stuff for the (near) advised retail prices. As long everybody does it, well you get it... 😉  Less of a reason: many companies have a problem with English.

Not sure what you actually after, but I ordered next to nothing here. For bigger purchases I think Germany is (price-wise) better IMO (price wise). Warranty is registered at FT CZ. So that shouldn't be a problem.

update:
Might be that this is a bigger problem with FT itself, and not something with CZ (or any other EU country for that matter). Probably mentioned here and there, but FT doesn't seem to "support" market competition (I think very similar to Apple). On the FT tools I bought the difference was > 500 EUR. Buying private (so no reduction on VAT).

Love FT, but the pricing is from time to time over-the top. Nothing new of course 😀

Hello, I believe that our services and prices in the Czech Republic are like in Germany. English language is worse. I speak for our shop www.naradionline.cz in Blatná.

Hi Otakar,

Thank you for your reply. Apologies to he OP, don't want to hijack this thread :(

I don't mean this bad, but let me give one example (seems fair when I'm make these claims).

Festool (OF 1400 with router bits) #574398

You price: ~  880 EUR (22.286 CZK), rubart.de  EUR 741. Thats 140 EUR difference  [blink].

Not even close, right? Do I miss something?

My experience (not with your company) is that the often Czech's seem very strict. Itself not bad, but it's hard to make a deal.

Otakar,

Thanks!  I will now have to figure out how to get from Prague to Blatná.  Looks like a train is possible.

Hey Bob, word of advise, unless you on a sightseeing tour check what you need and see wetter its on stock (would hate if you get disappointed)!

Also PT is itself good and cheap, but it can take you easily a few hours to get there (~ 2 hrs.)!

Czech Republic rocks, really a great county! With only 10.000.000 people I don't think lots of bigger companies have there 'sights set' to this place [emoji6]

With all respect to Otakar Svojšem, maybe NAREX is a better choice if you want some hands-on:

NAREX CONSULT a.s.
Vítkova 11
18600 Praha 8 - karlín

They are listed on FT website as test-center and store. So that would be maybe a bit easier, I'm sure Blatna is nice, but it will take you ½ day to get there and back to Prague (and at specific time, since trains don't go every 15 mins).

If you gotohttps://www.festool.cz/prodejci and type '110 00' as zipcode, thats almost center Prague and you can see the dealers available.

Of course if you strike a deal with Otakar, he could also ship it to me.

I can do a better price than 880 Euro  [wink]

rubart.de has no price of 741 EUR but 764,35 EUR  [wink]https://www.rubart.de/index.php?product=10017054

The NAREX CONSULT a.s.at Vítkova 11 appears to be very close to my hotel.  I will try them first.

Thanks again!

Bob
