Unfortunately, my source for Festool and SCM equipment in Germany for the past five years has declared insolvency and will be closing its doors.  The Freiburg branch of Dr. Keller Maschinen GmbH (southwest of Stuttgart in the Black Forest) is auctioning off all assets on 25 June 2022, and I'm sure the Mannheim branch will follow.  The Freiburg store has a large inventory of Festool, Makita, Bosch, Stihl, Fein, Lamello, and DeWalt tools.  Here is the auction announcement, which includes a link to the catalog of 863 lots:

I realize this will not be useful to most of the FOG membership, but there might be some members who might want to participate.  From what I can tell from the auction terms, this is open to the public and those interested can send bid applications by lot number.  The auction fee is 18-percent of the hammer price, and then there will be a 19-percent VAT on the total.  This is effectively 40.42 percent of the hammer price.  Successful bidders outside the EU will be refunded the VAT.

The lots appear to be grouped to suit retailers for a quick auction to clear the building.  For example, Lot 91 is a pallet of 32 TS 55 saws with a starting bid of €8,000.  I lost count of the number of TS 55 saws in the auction, but I think there are over 100 available.  Lot 104 is a pallet of 70 unidentified assorted cordless drills with a starting bid of €10,000.  There are lots that have one tool, but most of the lots are collections.  Some of the Festool pallets are identified as assorted tools, so there is no way to determine what they are without attending the inspection the day before and morning of the auction.  There might be a hidden horde of VAC SYS 1 and 2 systems.  [scared]

This is only a public notice and I won't be participating in the auction.  :(

Sad to hear/see.

Even worse that you are not taking orders from the FOG for covering us on site. [emoji6]

There are a LOT of tools on the list. [emoji15]

Thanks for sharing, but unfortunately, too far for me to go there…
