Festool Dust Extraction adapter used with a Fein FMM350Q multi-tool

Do a search of the FOG for "Fein MultiMaster" and you'll find the relevant threads. This topic has been fully discussed.

I have a Fein MM, and was able to buy their own DC collection system for it. It's a bit different than the Festool one that's linked to.
Flat tubing that hugs the bottom of the Fein, then connects to a round extraction type ring, which fits around the head /spindle of the  Fein instead of having the Nozzle offset like in that link. Works,,,, eh, okay at best. The further a blade is mounted away from the Spindle on the MM, the less change there is of catching much in the way of Dust/Debris.  I've kind of given up worrying about DC with the Fein.  But that Festool adapter for the Festool OS. Tool is interesting.

Hello,

all I'm seeing is members asking about the Fein dust attachment working with a festool vac, nothing yet talking about the above attachment. before spending the $97+tax I just wanted to see some pictures of it installed on someones fein.

See Reply #30 and #34. That is the plunge attachment but you get the idea.

yes, that came with my kit but doesn't do much, I've been installing a lot of vinyl plank flooring and doesn't catch the plastic shavings. I just don't want to waste $97 on the Festool gadget and it doesn't fit. please if you buy one do post pictures showing it installed.

thanks [smile]

You're welcome. I just bought the whole accessory kit 203258 from Amazon UK for my FMM350QSL. I'm building/installing some cabinetry soon and I'll need to notch the back panel out of a few to pull in electrical boxes and that plunge attachment sure looks handy.
