Festool End-User Training (Cabinet Construction @ Indianapolis) - Seeking Applicants

Hay that is me in green t shirt.  I'm here having a great time. The festool staff are a great bunch of people. The class is filled with great tips.

I am a cabinet installer from Pittsburgh PA.

Welcome A....,

Enjoy the atmosphere, the people, and the knowledge.  It is great.  Let us know some of what you learned when you get a chance.

Welcome to the forum.  [welcome] [welcome]

Were there any new tools being prototyped or just the current off-the-shelf products?

I like the photo of the training room. The wall looked like it was Systainer heaven. It was nice to see the MFT/3 and I never doubted anything but Festool products would have been used. I love my MFT/3 and the worktop height is absolutely perfect and it's a nice safe height to work at.

Finally, if Festool UK ever offer a training day I'd love an invite. True, I'm only a hobbyist and will hopefully post some photos of my first builtin wardrobe at home. I will never work at the same level as the seasoned professionals do and I guess that disqualifies me from any invitation. Still, there's no harm done by asking. [wink]

we used all off the shelf tools.  however tuesday afternoon we were shown several new tools that will be introduced here in the us next year.  a vacume holding device.. great.  the drywall sander, excellant and several drill and fostner bit sets.  the added router station to attach to the mft 3 table.  I think it is the cms.  several other items.

Good thing you were not required to sign an NDA.  [smile]

Congratulations to Festool and envy to the participants!!  This is exactly the kind of hands-on training that I envisioned and advocated when I attended the Festool fantasy camp in Henderson way back in April, 2008.  Building a cabinet was an excellent project choice.  I hope Festool will offer many more in the future.
