Festool Extractor problem

Hi all,
I have just bought a used Festool Extractor CTL33 LESG.  My problem is that it has a pneumatic system built in.  There are two valves on top of the extractor, looks like a male and female connection.  I only have a pneumatic hose which was used with a sander but I tested it and the suction was excellent.  I can only assume the other valve when attached to a hose will blow air out.  Can any one please advise?
