Okay, so I made a bit of a boo boo last week.
I Bought a TS 75 and couldn't work out how to use the depth adjuster.
I pushed and pulled to no avail and ended up putting a message on here to aquire some assistance.
Whilst awaiting educated replies I managed to work out my issue that I needed to push the adjuster toward the blade in order to move it up and down effectively.
A couple of people also commented upon their own faux par after I had acknowledged my own clear stupidity, so I thought it might be a bit of fun and offer some cleansing of the soul to start a thread where everyone can confess to their own festool fails.
big or small, makes no difference, Cardinal Rick will forgive your sins and hopefully it will entertain anyone else that cares to read and join in, given that we are all still fallible even with the best tool systems in our arsenal.
So, it's confession time, what have you done with your kit that has caused some reddening of the cheeks?
There are no prizes except the knowledge that your burden is no longer your own...

Nice new thread!

I had used my OF1400 router for ages before 'discovering' the ratchet action on the chuck. I even got annoyed about how little room there was to swing the spanner and reset it!

Now I think its one of its best features!

You are forgiven for your sins.
Say three "hail Festool"
and you will be absolved !

Thank you for partaking in the Festool hall of fails.

On my very first cut 6 years ago with my brand new TS75 and FS1400 rail, cross cutting a section of 40mm thick laminate worktop......I hadn't supported the worktop adequately and as I got near the end of the cut, the board nipped up on the blade, the saw jumped back and off the rail and this was the result.......as well as needing to change my underwear .....

It's never happened again since but I was seriously p..s..d off at the time..!

There are not many things that shock cardinal rick, however i am spechless...
that sin is almost worthy of kneeling on pencils.
however, given that it has never happened since, your sins are forgiven.
appologise to your lovely bit of track and recite "glory to festool" and you are absolved.
thank you for playing too.
