I'm going to be making a very simple, bark edged shelf out of 8/4 catalpa for the Mrs. for a wall in our bedroom. The piece is already fairly flat, but I'm going to sand out the saw marks with the rotex, take it down to about 150 with the RS2, and finish sanding to 320 (catalpa is fairly porous) with the ETS150/5. Cut the wall side of the shelf with the TS75 and a Tenryu rip blade, then square up the ends with the Kapex. Spray on poly over the bark (maybe), then wipe on poly for the finished sides/edges/ends. I'll do a hidden bracket out of some 3/8" lags with the heads cut off, drilled at about a 10-15 degree angle.
