I'm considering getting a Lex sander for my shop (in which I currently use pneumatic sanders). Unfortunately at this point, dust control is not a main concern (unlike on my job sites). My question is can run this sander without any vacuum or hose connection (obviously I need the air line to run it)?
I understand this defeats some of the purpose of the festool system, but with the reconditioned sale happening, it is worthwhile to pick up one of these rather than another brand?
Also, it's mainly function would be sanding doors and cabinet face frames after they go through a wide belt sander, so I don't need to take off massive amounts of stock- is the 150/3 the right tool?
Thanks for any advice or feedback.
