Festool manufacturing dates?

If you contact Festool to register your tool, you might be able to find out when the item was sold or first registered.

In this case, because the tools he was referencing were bought used - I was suggesting that if he was going to call Festool and register the tools (i.e. Get his name and ownership information associated in the database with the serial number and toll type) that he might be able to find out when the tool was originally registered.
At the current time dealers are supposed to register the tool.

Every tool that I've bought from my local dealer is registered by them right when I'm purchasing the tool. They're really good about it. I thought they were just being nice, now I know from reading here, that it's policy. Good to know, one more thing to love about dealing with Festool. [smile] [smile] [smile]BobKovacs said:
