Why is it that a 5 pack of 6" Brilliant 2 P120 is $4.50 but a 10 pack of the same size and grit is $10 and a 100 pack is $43?

I can almost understand the 100 pack as a volume discount by why does the 10 pack cost more per disc then the 5 pack  ??? Why would anyone buy a 10 pack?

Jim, in business there are several principles:

Goods well bought are half way sold!

Always buy by the brackets!

Always double check the unit cost, because the larger package is not always a bargain!

I did not set the Festool price list and my understanding is this is a topic Festool USA will not discuss.

Perhaps the goal was to ensure customers could afford to try many grits of Festool abrasives.

The savings solution is simple: If you need ten sheets, then buy two packs of 5 and save a little. Od buy packs of five each of two different grits.

The 5-packs were made obsolete years ago when the 10-packs came out.
