I recently purchased a combination pack of 2 Rail Dogs and 2 Quas dogs, to use with the MFT table. Recently working I needed a third Quas Dog but the Rail dogs do not have the ?stop shoulder? like the Quas dogs. They pass cleanly through the 20mm hole in the tabletop. So I went down to the local NAPA auto parts store and purchased 2 rubber pipe stoppers, with an ID range of 3/4? ? 7/8? closing range. The stopper have a bolt and nut that when tightened compresses the rubber sleeve that surrounds the bolt.
I had some 1/8? scrap aluminum plate and cut a 6? x 6? square and scribed the center-to-center pattern of the 20 holes in the MFT tabletop. I cut three of the hole out to 13/16?, just slightly larger the table holes, drilled the last hole to fit the Quas Rail mounting Bolt / Shoulder. Mount the Rail Dog in the 4th hole, slide the Rail dog / plate assembly under the table, slide the Rail dog through a table top hole, then insert the rubber pipe plug into the 20mm table top holes and tighten the plugs, and you are done.
The pipe plugs I purchased from NAPA need a wrench to tighten them up, I may purchase some plugs with ?T? handles for ease of installation.
