In case it is helpful to others, I wanted to give a shout out to all4tools.uk (https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/all4tools) for solving a problem which was really a problem for me; lack of light I use my OF1010 primarily for dados of various plywood widths, so I have to cut between lines with the fine adjuster and had to use flashlight to see what I was doing. I was excited when Festool announced their light module only to find it doesn't fit my older router. Someone suggested I look aftermarket, and I found this solution which has changed my life. The light module fits like a glove and comes with longer screws needed to secure it. He also had a number of other well thought out and helpful add-ons like a larger dust scoop for the Kapex KSC60, a mini drill level and Kapex bevel angle stabilizers. Photo attached.

I bought the LED modules from all4tools for the OF 1010, OF 1400, and OF 2200.  The modules replace the existing plastic shroud and fit perfectly.  They even come with a spare USB-C dust plug for the charging point.

This is a photo of the module on the OF 1400.

Anyone know if this fits the older OF-1000? Most things are interchangeable between the 1000 and 1010, but I thought I would check before ordering internationally.

@jeffinsgf , I don't know if the LED module for the OF1010 will fit the OF1000, but here are some photos showing the packaging and both sides of the module. I haven't installed it on mine yet, but the only components replaced on the OF1010 are three screws. As @norcal68er wrote, the three long screws secure the module to the router over the existing spindle lock shroud. The chip deflector and ring are included in the set.

Thanks, Mike. I'll take a look at mine tonight.

I "think" the only actual difference between an OF-1000 and an OF-1010 is Plug-It vs. hardwired.

I bought the light for my OF2200 and it fits great.  I haven't actually used it for cutting, but just on the bench it does really light up the area around the collet very well.

I've included a picture of the router before modification:

And with the light module installed:

And you can see it off, then on:

The only draw back is that to flip the green switch to turn it on and off, you'll need to raise the router and the dust shroud.

I was previously sticking a worklight to the side of my workpiece, as the plastic shroud for the dust/chips really does occlude your vision when you are trying to route to a line so I look forward to actually trying it out on the next project.
