I was wondering if i could acurate cut 1000 mm with FS-PA. The maximum cut is 650mm but my sheet is 1500mm - so i was thinking how abut cut 500mm to leave 1000mm. My question is how to set it up and caculate if its possible ?  Anyone tried to cut from the the other side ?

The parallel guides are mainly for doing a lot of repeats at the same width (breaking sheet down for cabinets).  At 1000mm wide, just place the track manually and clamp it. The accuracy of aligning the track verses the accuracy of the parallel guides will work out the same. If you have to do a lot of theses cuts it will just take a bit of extra time.  [sad]

Ok, i got it, but im just curious if anyone has tried it with success [big grin]

So, you might be able to take some scrap material and make some sort of object that has a fixed length, say 500mm, that hooks on the material and then the parallel guides hook to it, then you still use the guides as they are, but add 500mm to all the values.

I think you would have to cut something that is S shaped, then mount that to a flat board that can rest on your material to support it all.  The Parallel guides blocks would now sit farther out on the rail to account for the S shaped object between them and the board.  The S shape hooks around from the end, to the back of the sheet, runs along the side of the material, and then has the other end of the S sticking in front of the moving stops, this now mimics the back of a sheet of material, but with that fixed offset.
