Festool Pro 5 Limited Sander Promotion - where are we?

Let's not forget about the pros who ordered this tool and put off buying the "old one" and are now standing here with no sander, no info..... [sad]

So if someone is buying a pro5 today, what is the price and what systainer does it come in?

They stopped taking order Oct 7th.

Well my ship notice showed up in my email today! Wasn't expecting to get one anytime soon. There is hope guys! Just give them some time. I seriously doubt there would be any rushing to get units out that could lead to QC issues. That would be a big con for Festool because these still have the 3 year warranty.

I received a tracking number 15 minutes ago from Bob for my Pro 5. So, I can confirm that there will be at least some people receiving their sanders on time. Good luck.

Ordered mine from a dealer on the 15th (!). Just shipped via Fedex this morning! Can't wait.
They didn't offer the sander by itself - only as a package deal. They also only offered it a bit later and in a configuration so their stock wasn't depleted. So I got the sandpaper package with an assortment of what I'd need anyway. Sandpaper will probably last me 3-6months so its perfect. I can make money to pay for more sandpaper!

Now I have to decide what to buy with the voucher.
I have a RO 90 so with the pro 5 I'm pretty much covered for most sanding.
I have a T18+3
A TSC 55
A Carvex (cordless)
And a OF 1400

I'm leaning toward a HKC 55 or a CXS or a BHC.

  Looks like Festool has come through and has notified dealers that pre-orders will be filled. However, no new orders will be accepted. We are now waiting for an allocation schedule and times. That's up to the minute news - and I think it's good news.

BTW, for those in Pittsburgh, PA, Allegheny Millwork had seven Pro 5 sanders in stock as of 2:30 pm Wednesday.  Get down there quick if you want one.

Same here. Used tool nut, bought 3 and used paypal, so I paid 4 weeks ago basically and no sanders or word of when there coming.

To the rest of our customers, this is completely out of our control. We are not the only dealer affected by lack of inventory. I understand and share the frustration of those who pre-ordered and did not get their sander yet.  [sad]

I suspect I ordered from the same dealer except I was on the 20th [eek] and also got a ship notification today.  I'm really surprised it shipped - I was fully expecting to be put into a queue for a second run (if it ever happened).
