I needed some clamps for the mft and went to woodcraft to pick up a couple of the regular clams and noticed the quick clamps.  I struggled because you pay twice as much for the quick clamps.  I bought two and I have to admit they are sweet.  They are made extremely well kinda reminds me of little bessy's.  Anyway imo they are worth the money.

This is based on nothing more than pure guesswork, but based on the similarity of both the quick-clamps and the standard clamps to Bessey's, I strongly suspect that both are made by Bessey for Festool.

The price difference with the regular clamps made me postpone the purchase more than a few times (at the time  it was 4x the price (the price for the regular clamps is for 2 of them).

I did end up getting two of them and like them a lot. However, in some cases prefer other clamps, because the swiveling movement of the clamping mechanism sometimes causes the pieces being clamped to shift a bit and making allignment difficult.

I have sets of both, and yes the quicks are very good for a lot of uses and the screw downs are good to have for other applications.  I , if you have bucks buy sets of both... that s the way I started with the bessy clamps bought 2 of the 32" and now I have 24 of them (different lengths) !
