Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

I saw it on recon, put it in my cart and decided it wasn’t worth it, had it been 25% I would have took the chance.

I called my dealer, bought a new one and it’s sitting under my Kapex now. It’s dedicated.

I have just bought one and it still up, so I guess they have more than one for sale.

Just a heads up in case you are planning on immediately using the MINI -- I bought a MIDI last week in the big sale and was disappointed to find that there was no bag included in the box or in the vacuum.  I had ordered some bags online (backordered) and was able to find some locally a few days later.

This is obviously an oversight and a quick call to Festool would have remedied it. I determined my Kapex saw blade was too worn to cut without burning and no questions asked. In the process of sending me one but have yet to receive.

Yes it is the new one, you can tell because the MitreFast Angle Transfer tool no longer resides on the front of the base.

Note- people may see that posts have been removed from this topic. Mainly those that simply say tool up / tool gone. Just trying to keep this topic containing information that is relevant and / or current about available tools or in some way directly helpful to those looking to purchase recon tools.

TS 55 REQ-F Track Saw just posted at 10:54AM EST.

Interesting that it comes with a Systainer3.

I wonder if that speaks to the newness of the tool or if they just put an old tool in a new Systainer.

In any event, I would have to think it minimizes your chances of getting a beat up Systainer.

I'll have to check the HK55 I just got; it came in a Systainer3, but I didn't look closely at the manufacture date.  My guess is just making sure it's in a nice clean container.

I think they might have internal competition to see what the hardest thing they can come up with to sell is, while still getting sold. This is one of the craziest things they have come up with so far.

It really is crazy in a good way.

That seems like what you would get if you created a "Pro Demolition Combo Kit" to stand alongside the "Pro Remodeler Combo Kit" and "Pro Finish Combo Kit"

I'm with you on this one...what are you going to do with 4 battery chargers? This would make more sense if it was teamed up with a MINI/MIDI instead of a drywall vac. Besides, the only tool that hooks up directly to the vac is the OSC but the vac comes with a 36-32 mm hose so you'd have to add an adapter to the little OSC.

I'm waiting for the "kit" which is just 3 CT48's and a Festool Hat.

The "Kit" would also include 1 each HSK sanding block and a box of 50 each dust bags.

FYI, the 48AC isn't like the 36AC in that the latter comes with the PLANEX compatible hose. The 48AC comes with a smooth 36 hose and a 27mm adapter. It's quite nice.

CT SYS Dust Extractor is up.

With the old style hose it appears. They also sell a recon version with the new smooth hose for $15 more every so often.

There was a DF700 earlier. I think an OF 1010 is going up as well as an OF 2200 today. Good day to watch the Recon.
