Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

What all was up today?  We lost our power and  I was not able to pull it up.  I agree on the T18-E.  I bought one last time because with battery and charger it was like getting the drill for free-and you get a systainer.

I thought the warranty was 1 year on recon tools.  I looked at the T18 E this morning and it the description it said

"Equipped with an EC-TEC brushless motor, integral LED, and many more features, the T 18 delivers at every level while being supported by the Service All-Inclusive® 3-year warranty."

Can anyone clarify which warranty you get ?

I would bet just about anything that's a copy/paste error and that you get the 1 year warranty.

But, no, I can't confirm it (helpful, right!).

Off the top of my head...

CT-SYS Vac
RO 125, RO150
TS 55, TS 55 (two different prices)
TS 75
MFK 700 Set, MFK 700 Plain
T-18 Easy
DF-500 Set

I think there ended up being 11 different SKUs today, so I may have forgotten one of them; they filled up the queue starting around 0535 CDT, then re-ordered them and released the hounds by 0545 or so.

Anyone else having this problem? At this moment there were 7 items listed.  When I click on any of them, it brings me to the jigsaw every time.  I can't bring up the one I am interested in.

That's not a bug, it's a feature that forces the top item to be sold first.  A few months ago, you could get around it the way you described, but it appears that they've fixed the code.

It's tough when a person wants to know more details about a specific item even if they have to wait for it to bubble up before they can order it.

In reference to Jussi's post, there was also a CT-MIDI I up when my alarm went off at 0515 CDT this morning.  I want one, but I've been on the road and decided to take the opportunity to snuggle up with my wife while I'm home instead.

I think it means only the jigsaw is left. There is a delay in removing items.

I need to post a note in the bathroom to remind me to check. I am often up early for a brief time. Sigh.

Cordless Sander ETSC 125 Li 3.1-Set USA just posted.

I'll just point out for posterity's sake that the "Set" versions of these cordless sanders are usually the ones that include the mains adapter in addition to the battery and charger.  That appears to be the case for this offering as well.

If I didn't have an RTSC-Set already, I'd be tempted.

The damn thing about festool recon..  [big grin] is if you keep looking and even if you don't want some thing, you would be tempted to buy something .. just because you have not bought anything for a while  [tongue]

Question: Why is it that some days they have several items listed on the Recon page and others (like today) I dont see anything?  I'm not complaining, I'm simply attempting to figure this page out so i can be better prepared when looking for tools!  Thanks!

Save yourself the frustration and recognize there is no method to the madness. It’s a recon site and they sell what is available when its available (that simple). When a day’s inventory (again, based on what is available) is ready for sale they begin offering them. The time varies day by day and sometimes not at all. When active you can see everything up for day on the “one and done” page of the Recon website (https://www.festoolrecon.com/collections/oneanddone). The items are offered sequentially (starting upper left corner) until sold, then they move to next until days available inventory is gone. Sometimes there are multiples of a single item and they appear to sell those all before moving on to next item. That happened to me this week when I picked up a Vecturo. After I purchased and received conformation the same item was still posted and available.

I live on west coast USA and have had no issues picking up a few wanted items. I also don’t sit at my computer all day. I generally check once when I wake up and if nothing there I go about my day and check again the next day. I really see no issue with the way they do things…I believe it makes it fair and prevents a few from grabbing everything and reselling (for example, ticket scalpers). As expressed previously, I like buying directly from Festool…its packaged well and ships fast (last 2 items from Recon were delivered in 2-3 days (Indiana to San Diego).

Thank you Festool!

The C18 found a new home.  [big grin]

I've really been enjoying my recon T18 these last couple of weeks. Yesterday was my first time using the eccentric chuck and I am still a little amazed by how easy it made the task.

“How I learned to stop worrying and love the Recon page”

Agree with everything above- I believe that is exactly how it is working and I think it is effective at preventing mass reselling which is very good for all of us regular folk here. I appreciate what Festool is doing with Recon and realize there is no way for them to do this that is perfect for everybody...I’m just glad they do it at all.

I most recently purchased a recon MFK 700 router set and it was in amazing condition and even had the plug it cord totally unused and twist-tied. Many of the recon tools I’ve purchased are recently manufactured and like new. I checked the date of manufacture on the 700 on arrival  and it was manufactured in 2015 haha! I don’t care though- it fires up perfectly smooth, looks like new, and I have a year of warranty and the trusty Festool service department.
