I was waiting for it to post up, expecting to pull the trigger.  Then I did like I always do and waited until it was available to start researching it.  Doesn't appear to include anything that I don't already have other than PZ drivers.

I've kind of wanted one of these since they were released - for whatever reason, I just find this set appealing.  But I've never been able to go through with it for exactly the same reason (down the the PZ driver being the only thing I don't have). I still think it's a pretty set, though.

When they announced them, the set sounded nice. But like both of you mentioned, it came down to the only real thing was the Pozi screw drivers.  No one needs another random crescent wrench.  The wrenches are sized for DIN metric bolts, not ISO/SAE metric bolts, (wrong head size on some of them). So that is of limited use.

I just really doesn't offer much. Make it for stuff we will have (correct metric sizes, or add the 2 or so size wrenches to cover all), give it the more random drivers we don't see much of here.

Make the set be something like all the tools/sizes you need to tear down and put together Festool tools.

I was actually rather happy that the set had DIN wrenches, personally, since I already have a very nice set of ANSI/ISO metric wrenches and they're much easier to procure in the US in general.

I'll admit I mostly bought the set to add to the systainer shrine, but as it turns out I've found myself using it quite a lot, especially the ball-end hex key set, which has much longer shafts than any hex keys I already owned. I just keep it permanently locked on top of my CT cyclone so I have quick access to a nicely-organized set of hand tools as I roll the dust extractor around the shop.

When I first saw the set, I remember thinking, "what a ripoff! They're charging so much for the brand logo!" But then I did the math and figured out what it would actually cost to buy all of the included tools (at a comparable quality level, not cheap Chinese imports) and realized that the $225 retail price basically comes down to them charging you about $20 for the Systainer and the matching colors. That's a surprisingly good deal.

I find it odd that they're starting to put hand tools and systainer sets into the Recon.  I wonder if this set is incomplete as well?

I noticed Recon did not mention that the three nut drivers are missing.  When you buy something from Recon, it is a tool that you do not have and are not familiar with.  The assumption is that it is all there as in the picture.  On hotter items, like a Domino, you do not have time to check to see if everything is included. Lack of time is not a problem on this one, though.

The way that they say it is also very confusing "Note: This is an open box item and minor cosmetic/surface scratches should be expected.  Item has complete scope of delivery.  Non-returnable, all sales are final."

"Item has complete scope of delivery." to me would indicate that everything is included, when after reading your posts it seems to indicate the exact opposite; that they are only including the 8 screw drivers listed below, not the 11 in the picture.

I typed their 888 number into my phone to call them and ask, but got distracted by too many other things.

If I was serious about wanting to buy it myself, I would probably have called by now.

FWIW, even though it's no longer listed, I received an e-mail back from Festool stating that the Installer's kit did, in fact, come with the nut drivers.

That Planex/Sys-installer combo is wicked odd, but the installer set has some nice inclusions such as the blue Systainer, ratcheting clamps, and Sys-MFT.  I use the blue Systainer for my electrical cords on work road trips, since my day job's company colors are chartreuse and navy.

Weird.  The nut drivers in the metric set aren't metric (1/4, 5/16, and 3/8) - I wonder if that caused some confusion in the writing of the description.
