Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

Looks like most items are 25% off today, instead of just 20%.  I pulled the trigger on my 700 a few weeks early, it seems!

Nice assortment today. The 2200 was gone in ~30 seconds and the MIDI lasted for about a minute.

Darn I've been searching for that Linear Sander - and I had just gone to bed when that posted. Son of a gun!

Likewise, I’ve been looking for a Rotex Ro150. I saw the domino, and the next time I checked it was a tracksaw. I added the slack app after that miss.

Beforre the pandemic, I was getting all the "new" recon equipment available but have not received anything in well over a year.  Should I re register or how to get kick strated again?  Have bought a few items here and they are just as good as new to this middle skill hobbyist.  Also, I see talk of something called Slack app.  What is that.  TIA

Festool stopped sending e-mails long before the pandemic.  The e-mails were next-to-useless anyway, since the items were almost always sold before the e-mail link could be read, and sometimes before the e-mail even showed up.

The best place to start is festoolrecon.com/collections/oneanddone.  This lets you see what's in the queue for the day or the week, depending on some arbitrary something or other.

I've added the slack channel to my slack instance, since I use Slack for work already.  There are only one or two items that I'm still keeping an eye out for, so it's not as of much use to me, but it's still nice to see what things are going for and how popular they are.  Other people set up a local auto-refresh tool or other notification for themselves.  At my most obsessed, I would check the oneanddone page first thing every morning before I got out of bed, and try to time my morning routine around a tool that was in the queue that I was waiting for.  It's sort of a sickness...

I'd imagine in a month or so, Festool will run "wide open" with their Black Friday Recon where you don't have to wait for a queue to be able to purchase an item.
