Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

I spent some time extracting SKU data from the Festool PDF catalogs (2011 - 2022) and loading them into the ReconTools database. The goal was to get an idea of a Recon SKU's vintage by locating the SKU in the yearly catalogs. Catalogs are static and Festool probably creates new SKUs after a catalog goes to print so not every SKU posted to Recon will be in a catalog.

When a SKU is found in a catalog, the catalog year(s) will be included in the Slack message so one can get a rough idea of how old the SKU is.

Catalog SKU data is not comprehensive and may not always be helpful. For example, the recent DF 700 is SKU 574422. This SKU hasn't been in a catalog since 2015, but it is current on Festool USA.

In the 2022 catalog, the DF 700 EQ-Plus SKU is 576426. If you search for 576426 on Festool USA, you end up back at 574422. So yeah, it could be helpful for some tools, and less helpful for others.

My 2017 PDF is incomplete. Does anyone have a full 2017 PDF catalog to share?

Do they sometimes sell the same item multiple times? I purchased something earlier today but it stayed on the site for much longer...

Thanks 4nthony for posting the SKU info.  A couple of years ago, one never knew what would be next on Recon.  Now at least you can see what is in queue. Then, an item would just appear, and when sold, the next random item popped up.  I bought a Midi on one of those pop-up sales, and when I received it realized it did not have Bluetooth.  Luckily, for another reason I was able to return for credit.  However, after that, I made sure I had the current SKU numbers of any items I thought I might be interested in so I did not buy an undesirable model.  (really like that Bluetooth)
