Thanks Anthony!

Anytime! Some additional info...today's KAPEX was up for almost 4 hours and looks like there were 22 sold.

I'm guessing the Vac-SYS was up less than 5 minutes and had less than a dozen units, but still more than one.

Today's Vac Sys was up for 57 seconds (+/- 6 seconds). It was a true one and done sale.

I was on my phone when the alert popped up and quickly through a few Apple Pay prompts to buy...I paused at the confirm order click...then changed my mind.  [eek] [scared]

Was it the complete Vac Sys with both heads?

If so...I hope you won't be doing this to yourself in the coming days.  [dead horse] [dead horse] [dead horse]  [big grin]

It was the partial Set: Pump, SE1 Head, Foot pedal.

The complete Set including the SE2 is the top listing on his table, one of which I got back in 2021.

Unsurprising that the longest any of these have lasted is 2 minutes, while the smaller units last less than a minute at a time.

Ha. I'm sure I blew it by changing my mind.

Both heads? I paused because I know it's discontinued and I didn't know if what was for sale would work out of the box or if more parts/accessories were needed. I started thinking about the availability of those parts and if I was buying an $800 paperweight.

I really should learn more about the Vac Sys before even thinking about buying one. :D

I've been wanting this set myself and kicking myself for not buying it before discontinued but then like you wonder if I had the opportunity whether I should since it could become unrepairable in the future?

The Systainer Starter Set was up again briefly this afternoon.  It (or they) sold out pretty quickly.

CT-36 (non-auto clean) is currently up.

TS-55 after that.

Is this the latest model of the TS 55? Item number was discontinued according to several online sellers.

Do you know if this the most current model of the TS 55?

Yes…REQ-F

I was confused on the item numbering system. The Festool Recon site sated the saw was Item Number 576011 but the normal Festool site (and most online web sites) show the current model as Item Number 576708. Any idea why the difference?

My guess and it’s only a guess, they were selling the saw with the older Systainer. Not the new Systainer3.

The write up says it comes with a Sys3. I also noted it comes with a 48 tooth blade and as I recall the new saws have a 42 tooth so I’m now wondering if it’s the previous model. Naming convention is also confusing. The model on Recon is TS 55 REQ F and the new version is TS 55 FEQ.

I have the REQ-F and it has the 2.2mm blade. I believe the current FEQ-F uses the thinner, 1.8mm kerf blade.

Thanks for that input it was helpful. I purchased the saw online this afternoon and a couple hours later canceled the order. Hopefully Recon will acknowledge the cancellation.

Here is what Festool told me (FYI): Part number 576011, it is the TS 55 REQ that comes in our sys gen 3 systainer. It is not the newest iteration of the TS 55 which is the TS 55 FEQ, part 576708.

You are correct, that was confirmed by Festool (see my response above).
