Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

I purchased the saw online this afternoon and a couple hours later canceled the order. Hopefully Recon will acknowledge the cancellation.

This is the Festool "Terms of Service" web page.

If you scroll down you'll find this.

Returns

All sales on festoolrecon.com are final. However, customers are guaranteed to receive tools in good working order.

I believe Festool will accept returns on damaged product only, that's been my experience.

I definitely look forward to seeing the stats on how many of the TOPROCK and Energy Sets are sold.  It feels like FUSA did a buy-back of 2020/2021 special releases from dealers to help clear their storefronts.

They canceled the order at my request…probably because it was within a couple hours and the order was not processed yet.

I was able to send back a CXS that didn't match the description. It was one of the older ones with the post style battery and the listing was for the newer style. Festool asked if I would accept newer batteries and I declined because it seemed Festool was duped, probably on the 30 day guarantee. What I suspect is, someone had the older style, bought a new one, returned the older one under the 30 day. Older one went to Recon and I received it. Also, the Systainer sustained shipping damage. Just a bad situation all around.

Kudos to Festool for doing me right.

The TOPROCK finished with 16.

14 as of...

I'm hoping the Systainer kit comes back for another round.

Is it not that good of a deal???  I just ordered it because the TSC55 that I bought on festoolrecon.com didn't come with Bluetooth batteries.

I think it's a pretty decent deal.  Retail on the batteries if you purchased them separately would be over $500, plus the systainer, plus the SCA-8.

I would have pulled the trigger already if I hadn't bought a T-18 Easy Set from Recon a while back to get extra batteries.  I have enough battery tools from Festool at this point (most purchased as sets, some as Basics) that I'd rather just be able to buy the foam insert and call it a day.

I bought it at $395 and priced out all the individual components. At the release price, it was good, but that was also without tax and free shipping. The tax on this inches it close to what I paid when it was released. Still a good deal.
