The CXS has the same SKU as the one I have in my garage that I purchased brand new back in 2019 or so.  It's the T-Loc systainer, so that's why it's older?

I own both the CXS & the CXS 12...both small drills but their end use is very different. I'll keep both thanks.  [smile]

The cordless recip saw is a different beast, I can find both of your statements being true.  A one job wonder cheat or maybe "Why is this thing 3# heavier than a Sawzall?

In Slack, I use a few different options to determine when something is active or discontinued. One of the options is to simply search for a SKU. Most of the time, the search either redirects to the SKU's product page, or to a page that says it's not available.

For example:https://www.festoolusa.com/search-results-page?keyword=574332

For the CXS SKU, the query redirected to a Carvex page.
https://www.festoolusa.com/search-results-page?keyword=564535

Since I've been doing the Slack bot, this is one of the things I've noticed with older SKUs and why I mentioned it. This SKU was in the catalogs from 2015 - 2020 so in theory, one could get a 9 year old tool from Recon. When you get yours, let us know what the manufacture date is.

A couple other things:

- This CXS was marked down 25%. A newer CXS -- and other recent/current tools -- usually get a 20% markdown.
- Newer CXS SKUs mention 2,6 in the name.

Also, sometimes my "active/discontinued" logic is wrong. It usually happens when I try to get info on a SKU that hasn't been loaded into my database. Either way, the information includes a link back to FUSA for verification.

This Energy Set is clearly a brand new product and should've been flagged as active, not discontinued.
