I am not sure if this has been discussed on here but you can have a notification sent to you in near real time based on the specific tool you are looking to buy. My apologies in advance if this is already known, I am relatively new to FOB.

Distill.io, there is a monthly fee of $15 if I recall but I have used it to buy 2 tools I was looking for on the Recon site. I used to check the Recon site dozens of times a day and now I get an instant text. Once I find my last 2 tools, I will cancel.

You're paying $15/month for Recon notifications?

I know of a free service that’ll send you a notification. It’ll even tell you if the SKU is current or discontinued, which years it showed up in a US catalog (so you can guess the approximate age of the tool), and you can set it to only notify you based on predefined keywords (CXS, Domino, Kapex, etc.).

Depending on the view you pick, it’ll even show you what’s coming up in the queue, and with the same active/discontinued icons.

I've used it to purchase like 6 or 7 tools in the roughly 4-5 years it's been around.
