Festool Recon Topic (compiled)

I noticed in Collections the 2x5,0 Energy Set is in the lineup at $228.65 - about fifty bucks off. How good a deal do you all think that represents?

And I've decided that I am now on the lookout for the OF1010!
From my point of view it depends on how many 4/5's you already have to use with smaller tools like drills/impacts, etc. I'm now buying only 8's as I find for me they work out so much better for stuff like the RSC, KHC, saws, etc.

The last several tool kits I've bought I got in basic as I'm waiting till the new batteries are released to buy any more.

I only have the drills - TID 18, T18+3 and T18+3E, and for whatever reason, I'm not currently keen on the other cordless. Though, since it's being discontinued in NA, there is a wonder if I should get the AGC.

The AGC is nice, but to my mind it's sorta a little too niche unless you're planning a fair amount of tiling/concrete work, not to mention it's pretty expensive for a unit that doesn't work with a track.

I bought the DSC-AG for a project that didn't go ahead, and I really thought I'd use it occasionally, but after many years sitting in the rack I ended up selling it as I figure between the 4 blade wall chaser, the Makita concrete grinder, and a diamond wheel grinder I've got all bases covered just fine for the rare odd job I need them for.
