Festool Reconditioned Tool Sale

Hear Hear..... This horse has been flogged to death on this issue. Sh*t happens, move on.

If Festool chooses the freight forwarder, and they receive many complaints from customers on goods damaged, then maybe they should investigate that Co.. If it is wide spread, among many forwarders then maybe packaging is an issue. If it is not more than the average then it may just be " your turn". Why is it that Dealers receive tables and larger goods in un-damaged condition, or when there is damage, it is noted.  We all, when ordering items, should inspect them regardless of what I "assume" the delivery process to be. Assume when broken down is "Ass U Me" and that is very true here.

Shane as done what he can, I think, has been honest and I don't think EVER insinuated that Derrek was mis-leading them in his concerns.

Everyone who orders items for delivery, should learn a valuable lesson here, to carefully check for damage (hidden is often harder to see) and within reason compleatness.

We're all big boys and girls, so suck it up and learn from it, and lets get back to learning about why were here in the first place.

Good it is settled I am not a thief ... So lets get a replacement for me because it is obvious that the tae was not inspected before shipping.. I do have an email alluding that something may have happen " after delivery" so I have I assume they think I am stealing

I agree that your complaint has run its course here on the forum. As such, future posts will be deleted immediately regarding the topic. You've had more than a fair chance to give your side of the story.

I never called or even alluded to you being a thief, which I stated repeatedly.

You were given options, and although you might not have liked the ones that were offered, you elected to return the MFT for a refund. Good customer service isn't defined as you getting your way. We made a good faith effort to remedy the situation in spite of the damage being the responsibility of the shipper.

Again, sorry you're not happy with the outcome, but that's the way it's being handled. Respectfully, I ask you to direct any other complaints or communications regarding this issue to me or someone else at Festool.

Thank you,
Shane

Wow I just missed it, so how do I go about getting a notice when the reconditioned sale is back on? I mean ho often do these sales happen anyways?

Just wanted to say thanks for having this sale.  I bought a Domino 700 and an OF 2000, and I am very happy with both of them.  Hopefully we will see the return of this sale some day.

No set schedule. The last one was six months to a year ago, and before that was longer.  Watch here on FOG for a notice.

Can Festool please wait until I get my credit cards paid off from this sale?

Funny, all my recon tools arrived without a scratch, but when I order the tenon assortment pack, the systainer was cracked from shipping. One call to the dealer and a new sustainer is on the way.

Thanks Festool.
