Hi there new to the forum and just started using festool I'm amazed with what I already have but I have just picked up my midi extractor and by the 110v port it say max 500 watts does that mean I can't run my festool router of it I have the big half inch model 2200 what have I gone a brought the wrong product because even the L model says 1800 watt

No, that's not what it means.

You can run the of2200 on a Midi.  But you'd be best served with a 36mm hose and have some xtra vac bags on hand.

Be CERTAIN the setup is plugged into a 20 amp circuit.

Thanks mate I was worried then so just upgrade my hoes and should be ok I brought 110 incase I go back into site work but I should be ok plugging it in general housing should I when u say 20amp

Sorry - are you in the UK running off of a transformer ???

If so - you got to be sure your transformer will supply supply at least 3.4 kVA and that nothing else is plugged into it.

If you have 110v versions of the vac and router - then you will not be able to plug either of them into the mains in your house.

Ignore the sticker I posted about this nearly 10 years ago when I got my first midi. I run my 2200 off the midi fine. You can always plug it straight into the transformer and turn the vac on and off manually if you find it running slow.
