There is four versions of this sander on Festool UK website, but I can not find information on the differences?
I guess one with variable speed and one without, but what is the plus version?

Anyone explain the differences?

Hi Chippie, there are 2 versions of the sander.

1 - RTS400 EQ: This sander has a variable speed control.
2 - RTS400 Q: This version has a single, fixed speed.

That is the only difference between the two sanders.

And then there is the fact that you can buy the sander with or without a systainer. The "Plus" version comes with a systainer, the other doesn't.

2 x 2 = 4 different packages.

Alex beat me to it, but since I did the research I'll post my findings:

RTS 400 EQ GB 240V comes in a carton/box.
RTS 400 EQ-Plus GB 240V comes in a Systainer 1 T-LOC

The EQ version is variable speed: Idle engine speed: 6000-14000 min-1, No. of strokes 12000-28000 min-1
The Q version is fixed at: Idle engine speed 14000 min-1, No. of strokes 28000 min-1

Oh thanks guys, could see for looking.

Oh and thanks Shane for tiding up my mess..lol
