Festool Sale - 15% Off on CT Dust Extractors & Accessories - May/June 2016

Festool is the only brand that I have encountered that can advertise a price increase to get people to buy then the next month advertise a 15% discount to get people to buy.

I particularly like how the sale starts exactly 1 month after the price increase.

In Festool's defense, the average April 1st price increase among all of the items included on this promotion was 2.9%.

Even if you compare to the pre-price-increase pricing, the average savings is 13.0%.

That's more than the typical 10% promotions we see. [wink]

I think this is a great offer and hope we see more like this in the future.

Sure, except this sale doesn't stack with the 10% combo savings, so its more like a 2% sale if you got a combo.

The combo, which requires another tool purchase, only applies to the extractor,so in reality,it is way better deal. 15% off( with no tool ) is less than 10% anyway you look at it

Yea! I get to spend more to feed the Festool monster.  Long-life bag for my shopping cart.

Have one question...notice that Canadian dealers have the 15% discount only for the month of May. Any reason why not in June?

Anthony, it's a good question for a Canadian dealer or possibly [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can answer that one?

That shouldn't be. It's May and June in both the US and Canada. Where did you see that?

Hmmm. wish I'd known about this 6 days ago before buying $153 worth of CT accessories from Toolnut.  Oh well, maybe I'll find some other things to order.

Same here - I just pulled the trigger on the 10' sleeved hose from Toolnut two weeks ago. $375 would've saved $50...that's like 4 sheets of sandpaper!!

On the Leevalley site; notes the sale is May 1 - 31st.

Good to know that it runs till June.  My buddy will be happy, he has time to get a green dust extractor w/ parts after re-shingling his roof. ;D

Shane,

I don't see any listed discount for the Festool 497471 CT Workcenter WCR-1000, unless it includes the dust extractor.  Yet when you view the link for the CT Workcenter by itself, it shows it sitting on top of an extractor:
https://www.festoolproducts.com/Festool-497471-CT-Workcenter-WCR-1000-p/497471.htm

There is also the fact it is called a "CT Workcenter WCR-1000".  Would that not make it a dust extractor accessory, and qualify it for the 15% discount on it's own?

[member=60452]McNally Family[/member], this was asked earlier in the thread and the answer is that it's not included in this sale. Primarily because, in Festool terminology, it's considered a tool. I did double-check on this with Festool and confirmed that it's exclusion is correct.

Shane,

Sorry I missed that earlier post.  While personally I find it hard to not consider it an accessory to the CT, it's possible that because it is also an accessory to the Festool 498967 MFH 1000 Multifunction Stool (that isn't related in any way to the CT),  it is just not close enough to the dust collection family.

I will just need to be grateful they are including the Festool 500276 Hose w/ Sleeve, and Festool 496122 Tool Holder in the sale as well.  These two items are going to be my alternative to the "Boom Arm", that I have decided not to get, since I still rely heavily on my CT26 for general basement cleaning, and need the mobility the boom arm restricts.

As far as accessories go, this is probably the one I use the most with my CTs. We've got one with your name on it. And, at the sale price, it's only about $10 more than the empty Systainer.

We've put together an easy-to-filter and search list of all Festool dust extractors and accessories included in this rare Festool 15% off sale. Order now to take advantage of this great opportunity to add a new CT, upgrade an existing CT, or add those accessories that you've been considering.

Remember, filter bags don't expire or go bad, so there's no reason not to stock up!

Can the Ct 48 long life  bag be used in a CT36AC?

i remember a dealer once talking about how it makes sense to use one size larger bag for all my CTs but i never tried it since I'm well stocked up with the correct bags.  I need to order the long life bags for all my CTs at this point.

Im not trying to use the long life bag for the planex

[member=59319]KescoNY[/member], I wouldn't recommend trying an oversized bag. I'm not sure what you'd achieve plus I just don't think it would work well at all.

You could use the long life bag for the 36 with your AC.
