Festool seeking feedback on polishing products and applications

The only polishing I've done is post-Festool.  I originally bought my RO125 for refinishing stairs.  I ended up going to some solid surface training/Avonite, and they were pretty into Rotex.  They used the Rotex for prepping the surface up to between 400 and 800 grit.  They then switched over to a 10" buffing pad on a grinder using a couple of different rubbing compounds.  I promptly went out and out fitted my RO125 for polishing using the felt pads and lambies with a single compound.  Now I polish to varying extents almost all finish I apply.  I am doing more solid surface applications including fabrications.  It would be nice to have a bigger polishing surface, but I would not trade my RO125 and its multi-use capacities for another tool that is only a polisher.

Here's my take on this sander/polisher...

While I would most definitely use it for polishing our home-fleet ;), I have a cabinet project sometime down the road which I think would benefit from using the RAP 150.  I hope to mimic or duplicate the painted finish on some commercial cabinets I came across.

I saw these things and the paint had to be polished.  The color looked like butta' and the shine was so smooth, a babies butt would be sandpaper compared to the finish on these cabinets.  While I agree with others that have made references to needing a different sander because of the flat surfaces found on cabinets, my cabinet project will have less than 50 sf of flat cabinet surfaces, excluding the door panel faces.  Most of the surfaces will be the rails, stiles, face frames, etc... of the cabinets.  Surfaces I think would benefit from the RAP 150.
