Festool Shaker Door Demo Class - For FREE - @ Saturday, June 23rd

How about we all just get back on topic and look forward to a great time Saturday. Guys, this is something we've never done before and it should be great. Sean and Dave both put a lot into what they do and deserve the recognition for their hard work. Let's look forward to something good coming up.

I look forward to hanging with the guys, having lots of fun, and if we are lucky Reinhold will teach us a thing or two, Eric

It should be a fun time. I've never made anything in front of a crowd so I'm just hoping it goes smooth.  This demo is a taste of what I would like to do in the future....

Eric enjoy your breakfast with Peter, Sean's never even taken me out  [crying]

Dave

Dave, demoing/teaching or shaker style doors? Are you gonna be using the MFK700? I dont own one, but am not sure that I wouldnt get one if I saw more of its uses. BuilderBob has one and Ive never hear him mentioning it much. I am gonna spend two hours after breakfast with the Planex, definitely buying, just waiting for the right job. Eric

I'll bring an extra tube of caulk in case it doesn't work out... [poke]

Vindingo, I was hoping to meet you...another time perhaps!

Eric, I love the mfk700...it's a great little tool!  It's one of those tools that doesn't get much mention but its damn good!

Bob, if Dave is a really good presenter I will "need" an MFK by the end of the day. We will text you a group pic, Eric

99% there... (I feel like I am forgetting something for some reason  ??? but I am sure I will remember once I'm at Tool Nut )

Any chance you guys can set aside a square drive centrotec set for me?

There will be heckling...

Definitely can - shoot me a pm and I'll put one on hold for you. Thanks.

Great seeing everyone as usual at the show including a new face, Wayne Tinker.  I thought Dave's first demo show went great.  Can't wait for more.  Eric enjoyed the gag we pulled on him.  We had this planned for a while.  He was a good sport.

Ken, it was an awesome time. I had fun hanging with you and the guys. Got to meet Tinker and Vindingo, who are both way cooler in person. The sideburn gag was funny and Im happy you guys spent that much time thinking about me. They say only the greats get impersonated, so Im glad you have me in that company. I attached a pic for you of my wife and I at a recent black tie wedding. She is the sideburns biggest fan. I doubt there are any guys on this forum who would kick her out of bed? Eric

Ken, thanks for sharing the pics.  Looks like it was a good time.  Looks like Dave did a stand up job.

On a side note:
How the heck do I get one of those Kapex t-shirts?  Did they come with a Kapex when you bought it?  I really really want one of those Kapex t-shirts!!

If so, I think mine was missing when I received my Kapex.  [wink]

Eric

Those were great photos,

The group picture kinda reminded me of a Star Wars Bar  [big grin]

I wish we could get something like that here in So Cal or at least a get together.

Im guessing there are a enough of us here to have one.

Eric,  make friends with your local Festool dealer rep and make sure you're wearing stick on sideburns.

Sancho,  I'll be glad to help out and take pictures.  Just send me my plane ticket and hotel info.  [wink]  [thanks]

It was an awesome day. Thanks to all who came out - was great meeting Eric in person - breakfast was great! Ken and Dave, always good to shake hands and have a few laughs. I'm shocked I didn't know about the Calculated Industries apps for the iPhone! Dave, thanks for the heads up on the iPhone case - have mine on order now! Sal, I have to say I think you have an awesome truck! I didn't even notice it until I was leaving! Sorry I wasn't there to meet Tinker or Vindingo. Next time guys!

Thanks for hosting Tool Nut guys (Peter, thank you for setting aside those bits!).

Its always fun to BS with other wood cutters.

I should not have played with the XL...  its an amazing machine.

Thanks all for making the trip! Next time hopefully I'll be able to hang longer and add to the experience! There was a great vibe present when I was there, always good to see :-)

Great info guys about the calc industries app. i already own a construction pro calc but it doesnt have a metric conversion. I found a free conversion app.

But I was still going to get the calc induct. calculator because it seems more accurate and easier to use.

I noticed at the app store they had the app for the conversion at a very reasonable price. I am downloading as Im writting this.

Kewl beans great info on this site …

edited to add:

I got it played with it Wow to easy to use.

I deleted the free app I was using….

Awesome

funny how little things like this can make your life a whole lot easier. [smile]

I didn't know about it either actually - and I sell the calcs! Caught me off guard to say the least! Kudos to Ken for showing me those apps! Next, Dave Reinhold will have to post pics of his cell phone case - one look and I ordered one lmao!

Does he own a Otterbox?

Thats the one I got and its very good, my old Iphone has been dropped, been to Iraq and when I came home and upgraded to a 4S, the guy at the Verizon wanted to buy it from me. Not a scratch on it, looked brand new.

You can get them at amazon different colors to suit yer taste.
