Festool Shaker Door Demo Class - For FREE - @ Saturday, June 23rd

Ken, the sideburns gag was funny, but how long did it take you to do that? A lot of time to be concentrated on another dudes appearance. From the pic above you can see why I wasnt offended, more flattered that you think of me so much. Had a lot of fun hanging with you and cant wait to do it again.

Vindingo, while we are on other dudes appearances, I think you look as cool as a young Al Pacino in person, which there are probably only a couple guys in the world who can say that. Nice work. The industry needs you.

Peter James, you even took me to a place that had Eggs Benny. You are a good friend, Eric

I've seen lots of Otterboxes. They're great protection i've heard, but add to the overall dimension of the phone. Dave had a Rokform which looked AWESOME (I'll let him post pics if he's up to it) - I literally had to have it. They make them in different styles as well. They immediately caught my eye. With everyone getting iPhones these days, it's nice to differentiate yours from everyone elses!

Eric, what diner doesn't make eggs any way you want them?! I sure wouldn't go there lmao! Glad you enjoyed and hope all learned a few things. It's nice to see people getting together and seeing different personalities mix. There'a a lot of anonymity on forums - this is the only forum I know of where members really get to connect and meet in person.

Yes it does add to the overall dimension of the phone.

its because it has a inner plastic shell and a outer rubber bumper for it.

Im going to check out Rokform and see what is about. If it givs the same protection and less bulk, Ill definately get me one.

It's like a step up from the Apple bumpers but also has a clip, magnets for car mounting, etc. Totally caught my eyes - worth a look imho.

Funny how this has gone off topic (and wait until Seth gets his hands on this thread  [tongue] ).
I've gone through a few of the Otterbox cases for the iPhone 4 and I've told the company how poorly designed it is. It doesn't have the quality and practicality of earlier designs. At least they're willing to back it up with great customer service and warranty.

Eric,
It took more time to peel off the paper on the adhesive backing than it took putting them on in the break room. Dave loved them so much, he wore them all the way home and tried to put them on his kids. Mine were donated to the Tool Nut for Yoda to wear, from what Doug told me.

SShhhhh............whisper.........

As long as you guys had fun, Ken I was flattered.

Peter, some establishments that are not as nice as the Olympia Diner dont have Eggs Benny regularly, usually just as a special. They dont want to make up the Hollandaise sauce everyday. My treat next time, hopefully Plunske will be there, Eric

Ken

Actually I dont think this has gone off topic.

We are discussing the things that happened in the demo, the phone APP was a awesome , I got it and love it, the phone case another piece of good info.

Afterall isnt that what its all about the sharing of info?

when I go to the end users classes I learn almost as much from talking to the guys in the class as I do from the instructor.

Different things of course, but Im still learning.

I really hope to meet you and few others some day.

it would be a blast.. [smile]

I enjoyed the demo.  Dave did a great job and managed to throw in some good pointers.  Even more enjoyable (or equally enjoyable>>> depending on who is reading this  [poke])  It took tremendous will power to not take home a Domino.

you guys with your talk about cell phones, or whatever it is you are talking about, have totally lost me.  Understand that i grew up in a day when if we couldn't be heard by yelling across a field or valley, we built a fire and sent smoke signals.  Now that took skill  8)  None of this push button stuff  that requires learning a whole new language.

Great pics, Ken.  I enjoyed chatting with you.  Vin, yeah, i also thought you were Al Pacino going thru a voice change.  No Gravel in your throat.  Eric, go U-Conn.  I have some great stories from when i was there. i was an Aggie so the bull S--- was real. Sal, i didn't know who you were.  I'll know better next time. Dave, I really got a lot out of your first demo before audience.  You kept busy enough nobody had time for heckeling.  maybe we'll have better luck next time.  ::)

Wayne, being a Uconn fan is a privilege that only the lucky ones get to experience. Look forward to seeing you next time, Eric

Eric, if you're treating next time, I'm in!!!

Sean, I just downloaded that Dewalt app...pretty cool free functions! I have the Calc. Ind. app and use it regularly! Anybody looking for simple functions can save some $$$ for a free app!

I look forward to seeing all you crazy dudes on the next one! I have also saved the date for Oktoberfest!!!

Peace!

Bob

PS...I love my Rokform...you will too!

Bob, i still owe you $20 on gas from the last trip. Not a bad drive at all though, Eric

It was a great time. Nice seeing everyone and the new faces too. I had alot of fun and Sean and I are already planning the next one.

Builder bob showed me his iPhone case at jlc this year and I wanted to be as cool as the connecticut guys so I ordered one. It's a rokform case and it provides plenty of protection for me.

Dave
