I have bought 8 Festool items since 2006, each time religiously completing the warranty registrations, always wondering whether they were worth the paper. Then I lent my almost 34 month old BS75e belt sander to a friend who used the sander extensively and, as is always the case when I lend a tool, it packed up within 5 minutes the next time I used it myself. I called Festool Service in Johannesburg and faxed them my warranty confirmation and original invoice. Two working days later their courier service collected the sander from my office in Durban and it was returned a week later via the same method. No charge.
