When i was working as a laborer/apprentice, i got between 2 and 3 months out of a pair of work shoes. I got the best i could get knowing they were destined for a beating nearly 7 days per week. Gradually i got cheaper (construction wise, not $$$ wise)boots until now, a pair of work shoes will last for 3 or more years. I think the reason being that the early boots were very heavy. The boots i buy today are even lighter than my sneakers. I think it was because I was dragging my feet all the time. Now I am 39, my feet just seem to float over the ground. [big grin]
A funny thing is happening, now my boots are lasting longer, my pants are shrinking and the seats wear out faster [oops]
