I pulled the pin on one Saturday and they gave me a shipping estimation of 2-3 weeks. You must have ordered yours on the first couple of days after the announcement. They probably sold a ton at the price.

That's pretty interesting. Take your first shot of the TS 55. The temp range is 122-77.1, but the max is 150. Is the max temp located within the crosshair area?

Wow, that's interesting. How much time delay between the cut and your image?

Here's another interesting situation. When I went to lock the rear entry door last night I noticed this condition, which is the first time I've seen this in the 8 years since I installed outdoor lighting. Usually when we get snow we get a lot of snow so this light dusting led to this unusual situation.

The 1st picture is a 1 1/2" thick piece of New York bluestone placed on a poured cement slab/steps. Underneath the bluestone is a 12" x 12" pocket with a metal box installed that was poured in-place.

The 2nd picture shows the metal box which contains 2 each 40 watt, solid state power supplies that power all of the outdoor LED lighting.

The 3rd picture is the area on the bluestone slab directly above the power supply box while the 4th picture is directly to the right of the 3rd photo.

I just found it interesting that a only 3 degree difference in stone temperature would make this large of an impact on the snow conditions. I would have assumed that the thermal mass of the bluestone would have cancelled out the local heating condition and created more of an average steady-state situation.

My favourite use of my flir one is checking to see if my drywall mudd is dry.

For example a painted surface is close to 0.95 where as steel or even granite/stone can be around 0.50. This does change the accuracy of the reading and I am curious if it is adjustable on these units.

Hey Stan.  I am pretty certain it does NOT take into account the emissivity of the surface.  I think that is part of the "human factor".  It will of course relay the correct surface temp, but not incorporate that type of metadata.  There are some adjustments, but they are pretty limited.  I will throw it in my bag to bring to Festool Connect if you want.  Just let me know.
