I believe that it is made outside the USA.  I doubt that it is made by Diamondback.

It would make sense that the company making the Planex harness whips these up for them.

It's kinda an American design though.  I don't recall seeing many of these things in Europpe when I lived there.

Which came and went, the appeared a short time re-designed and then went again.
I do still have the single belt.. used twice I think [big grin]

i'll go makita, because they seem good value for money.

I went Makita... a lot of it too. I found the tool holders (the leather "tubes") to be very annoying in that they were either too small or too big and most were bottomless so things had to fit well or they'd fall through.

In the end I sold the lot and bought in to DB and have been a happy, yet poorer, camper since then. Their stuff is very well made, way more places to stuck your toys and the accessories are great. Like when you need to carry some extra fasteners you can clip on an extra bag (e.g. the DB Sax) or two. There's clip-on tool sheaths, magnetic clips (for holding a bunch of fasteners), nail strip holsters and more. The hammer and pry bar holsters are great too. The moral of my tale is to cry once and be happy  [big grin]

The Festool apron was made by Bucket Boss. Not sure who made their tool belt as I have never even seen one. I would guess they were not of the highest level though.

Diamond Back is known to be one of the top brands, so you can't go wrong with them. Occidental leather is another well known tool belt brand. I have Occi Lite bags which work well, but I rarely use them. Instead I have an Occi Suspendavest which is set up how I want with a modified smaller pocket on the left, with a few tool holders on the right. Very narrow for working inside without smacking the bags into new cabinetry. Atlas 45 is something I would be looking at today for a vest. Just depends what kind of work you do.

Many folks also like specialized pants with pockets, like Snickers, Bjornklader, Blaklader, etc. Having built in knee pads is awesome!
