I am a previous Festool owner. I have the CT 26 extractor and the ETS 150/3 sander. I had a neighbor who requested my help in helping him build a murphy bed. This project required a lot of plywood that needed to be broken down. In the past I have either had the local lumber yard break down the plywood into workable sizes that needed to be re trimmed or I would try and do it with my Porter Cable saw. I researched it some more on line and again witnessed the SMOOOOTH cuts and accuracy. I have been dreaming of the TS 55 REQ for about a year, so I bought the TS 55 REQ, clamps, and 2 guide rails.
This Saturday, I used it for the first time. I got it out and set up and my neighbor says don't you want to razor cut the line and lay down some tape to reduce the chip out? I gave him a confident "no" answer. OMG, the first cut was glass smooth. My neighbor was extremely impressed. And truthfully, so was I. We proceeded to break down the remaining 3 sheets of plywood. Then I even cut some thin strips to use as edging on the exposed plywood edges.
I am so HAPPY that I bought this, as it has given me some increased motivation to get back into the shop.
THANKS FESTOOL for the quality product. [smile]
Does this mean that I will need to buy more FESTOOL in the future.......
