I currently have the corded OS400 and love it, it's a beast, but I have a project coming up that will benefit from the more expansive blade selection of the cordless OSC 18. I don't think I want to own both, so before grabbing an OSC 18 and selling the 400, I wanted to check if you all who've experienced both think I might be making a mistake.

I have not used the corded version but have had the OSC18 for several years.  It has all the power of the other corded oscillating saws I have used.  The starlock adopter is great and as you noted blade selection is terrific. I have a few good/expensive blades I grab when I need precise and or very clean cuts. When doing demo or things of that nature I have a supply of cheaper blades as well.

I don't have the OSC, but do have a corded Fein Multimaster 350Q version from a few years before Starlock came out.

I can't recall using the corded one since I bought the cordless Festool version.

I have the OS 400, the OSC 18 and the corded Fein. Once I purchased the OS 400, I never used the Fein and once I purchased the OSC 18 I never used the OS 400. I use the OSC 18 for everything and have no issue with selling the Fein and the OS 400 this summer.

Among other things, I typically use the OSC 18 for trimming errant 2x materials that are in difficult positions. I previously used a Sawall but that was cumbersome and heavy, the OSC is fully up to this new task.

My OSC came with the low profile 3.1 battery which really is a nice small package. I prefer the 3.1 over the 4.0 battery but the difference in size isn't huge. Here's a comparison photo.
