Hi,

Not sure if this qualifies as a tool problem, but I have some trouble getting my festool "work app" to work.

It worked just fine, but after reinstalling my iPhone SE from a backup (after a software crash) I can't log in anymore.
Everytime I try to log in I get a message saying my language is not supported.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, changing my password and changing the language, but it refuses to work.
However, I can log in to the myfestool account on the computer, so it's not the account that has been corrupted.
If I recall correctly [member=65767]threesixright[/member] had the same problem back in February.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you,
wpz

What language do you have set? (Settings / General / Language & Region or similar.)

Have you tried changing the language to something else? (Preferably a variant of a language you know rather than something don't, otherwise changing it back will be tricky!)

Hi,
Thank you for the tips.

Just checked and my language and region settings are the same as before the reinstall (when the app worked).
I tried different languages (I speak 4) and regions, but I got the same error message, just in a different language.

I kind of suspect that it is some built in safety measure so people can't hack your account and will have to be reset by someone at festool. Sent festool a mail and will report back if they have a solution for the problem.

Cheers,

Hi wpz, I had a similar problem. Only for me it never worked at all. After contacting FT it turned out my account (created by the retailer) was set to the wrong country. They corrected it and then it worked.

Still not great because you can't choose your own language, for some weird reason they think that everybody that lives in a foreign country speaks the language  >:( So im sitting here with all accessories in a language I can't understand [blink]

We're getting some help from Festool HQ on this.

[member=66126]wpz[/member] : Please send us a message with the e-mail address of your myFestool account along with the country and language you have selected for your account.

We'll try to get you taken care of.

Hello everyone,

The problem has been fixed. [big grin]

Festool reset my language code in my account and asked me to try to login again and sure enough, it all worked again.
It took them a bit longer to respond to my problem as they were in the middle of moving office.

So if anyone has the same problem, contact Festool in your country and they can fix it for you.

[member=57769]TylerC[/member]: my apologies for not responding earlier, I've been very busy over the last two weeks and did not see your reply until today.

A Big thank you to everyone trying to help.
