Since I live in Canada I had to register my two recent Festool purchases (OF 1010 and MFK 700) at www.FestoolCanada.com/register. No problem there, however, I did have to create a new account to do this.

I'm assuming that my FestoolUSA account has been purged, since I was unable to login there because of my Canadian IP. This is a bit of a disappointment as it appears I can only get access to tools that are registered to me in the EKAT. All my earlier purchases are not listed on my new Canadian MYFestool account for obvious reasons.

So why is this important to me? Well after registering my new tools, I attempting to order a part for my CMS-GE through EKAT and it would not let me access those parts. Apparently, I can only access parts sheets and part numbers for tools that are registered to me. (CORRECTION: While this is still true from MYFestool, I found a direct link to all parts on EKAT so I am now able to access all tools on EKAT.)

Therefore my questions are:
1. How can I find out if my USA MYFestool account still exists and how I can still access it?
2. Is there anyway to have tools that I have registered previously on my USA MYFestool account transferred to my Canadian account?
3. Alternatively, can I self register my previous purchases (no longer under warranty) on my Canadian account? This would then allow me to access the EKAT for parts I need, as well as providing a record for insurance or theft.

I did send an email to Festool Canada a few weeks ago, however, I have had no response. I have also tried to call the Hotline without success. I fully understand that these communication difficulties are most likely due to COVID-19 staff shortages.

Kindest regards,

Bryan
