Wow...13 pages later and we’re probably still not even 25% into the recon sale. Who’d have thunk.  [eek]

How do you know we're only 25% through the recon sale?

Hey you guys need to buy up that CT so we can see whats next....  [oops]

[thanks] for your understanding

I'm not so sure.  [unsure]

The conturo was up for a loooong time and probably didn't sell out.  Then we had a couple of sanders that probably didn't sell out either.

Its neither a fun or exciting approach . Its stupid.
You wanna get Festoolians happy and excited? Own up to the Kapex problem, man up and fix it. Make a solution hapoen and show some respect for Festool customers, 90% of whom are ridiculously loyal. Maybe return the favor.
-First negative Festool comment ive ever had ...and my Kapex dosent even have scorch marks on it..yet.

Sucks to be left out in Canada.  Hopefully you’ll have a site for Canadians in the future.

Just ship it to Montana and drive 10 hours across the border.

10 hour drive plus gas to save a 25% discount minus two years of warranty for the Festool lucky dip. Sounds to good to be true.

Don't discount the euphoria that comes with being part of the select few that are lucky or fast enough to actually score one of the tools from this sale.

Well I've mentioned that the 3 or 4 reconditioned tools I purchased in previous recon sales all appeared to be in like new condition. Well the DF 700 I snagged recently, also appears to be in like new condition.
Other than a small scuff mark on the Systainer and a couple of bent pages in the owners manual, everything looks just like it should. [big grin] [big grin]

When I see power cord in a tight knot like your second pic. I cringe.  [scared] I think people who do this to a cord should be kept away 300 ft from power tools by court order.  [mad]

Funny...that’s directly from Festool.

Ya after I took the pictures the first thing I did was to uncoil the cord and just let it breathe. It’s been hanging from the ceiling for 24 hours now and it’s still like a pretzel.  [tongue]

I knew you would never torture a cord like this.  [big grin]

So, after users have received their tools we have one (the sander) that was dirty and scratched up, and one cord that wasn't coiled in a manner that some would consider acceptable.

And then we have those whose tools look like new.

And then we have the debates about value (cost versus warranty).

And then there are the comments about how the process is unfolding.

Just summarizing for those who have tuned in late and won't scroll to the top of the thread.

I haven't heard back from Festool about my RO150 yet.

Sorry to hear that.  [member=101]Festool USA[/member]

Just in case there might be an issue with their routine of emails, if you would like to get closure you might want to try calling them.

Cheese , you obviously didn't get a Pro5.  All of mine came wrapped much tighter than that with a wire tie.

Actually antss I did pick up a Pro5. I’ve just never noticed the cords before because the first thing I do with a new tool is to unroll the cord and hang it from the ceiling. Let her stretch out a bit, then it’s always easier to add it back into the Systainer.

[member=23087]bnaboatbuilder[/member] - I've seen the list for the rest of the week, and it's new stuff and something that sold out really fast during its first go-around. The frequency is based in part on recon availability, which varies from tool to tool.

I've got a box full of new zigzaggy cords.
I just use a couple of older 16 gauge cords.
The newer cords have a different composition that doesn't straighten out as well as the old.
