Also for you guys waiting for 'refurbished' sanders.  Here is a Festool 571916 Ets 150/5 Eq Random Orbital Finish Sander for $298 from Amazon Warehouse.  Keep in mind this as sold as 'used' but you can return it for any reason within 30 days (you pay for return shipping) or if it is not 'as described', they will pay return shipping.  (I would think that whatever is left on the warranty would be good?)  Note it is described as 'like new'

Hey Tyler,

Thought just occurred to me. Do we need to register tools bought during the recon sale? Or have Y'all done that for us already?

I would say the register the tool because they are de-rating the warranty down from whatever was left from the original purchaser to one year

Normally if you buy a used Festool from someone, you assume whatever warranty is left from the original purchaser.  So if you bought a tool that was 1 year old - you would still have 2 years left

[member=42863]SouthRider[/member] - We are not automatically registering tools. Although we always prefer the people register their tools, as long as you have a proof of purchase (which we also have in our system with recon tools) you'll be fine if you have a warranty issue.

Just wanted to thank Tyler and Kiara for their assistance.

I purchased a refurbished CT 26 E dust extractor and it arrived earlier in the week.  The hose garage, however, was cracked in several places. I contacted Tyler who put me in touch with Kiara of the Recon Team.  She promptly emailed me regarding the situation and even followed up with a telephone call a few hours later stating that the part was being shipped.  It arrived yesterday and has now joined my growing Festool collection.

Thanks again for the prompt, courteous and professional service.

Another thank you to Tyler [member=57769]TylerC[/member] if received a ts75 with a beat up systainer, it was cracked and damaged in several areas and he sent me a new systainer.  By the way its really hard to throw a systainer away....  but I was able to save the pins and handle.

Did you guys receive shipping notifications etc. or did the package just show up?  Ordered last week and haven't heard anything.

Thanks...looks like there's something up with my order then.  Checked all spam folders, logged into the recon site and it says "unfulfilled."

[member=13462]live4ever[/member] - I'll shoot you a message to see if we can get you squared away.

Some items last more than one day.

Kapex was up multiple days, twice I believe.  Conturo was also around a while too.

Trying to buy the CXS that showed up right now.
Apple Pay is not working.
Anyone else having trouble with Apple Pay?
It won’t process.
I am at work and very far from my wallet for a CC.

I almost bought it but it's the older model

You’re right, I didn’t check and I didn’t think to check.
I assumed, and bought fast since I ran for my wallet.
This is the 3rd time I burned myself.
My fault though.
Oh well, seems the luster is wearing off now.
Found a good online dealer.
I think I will stick with them.
Maybe I bought into Festool too late, since seeing all the negative posts lately.

Don't let all the negativity get to you. Online forums are where people complain. I just jumped in myself and I try to be realistic. Some of their tools really are incredible whereas others are so so...I'm focusing on only buying what I consider to be the incredible ones. I think a lot of guys get burnt out trying to buy only Festool and expecting it to be the best or to work for any situation you come across. There's a lot of negativity in the Harley forums too but I entered that world eyes wide open.
