Well, I took my digital SLR but left it in the car and didn't remember it until I walked out to leave.  I'll check around the office, I'm sure we have digital photos.  It may be a day or two until I can post something.

Pic One...Kutting the "Grand Opening Ribbon" Kapex operated by Ms. Stoll, Ron Pegram and Maria Taylor of McFeely's in the background.
Pic Two...Table Center Piece
Pic Three...A Very kewl slide show and commentary presented by Mr. O.

I like the table  centerpieces, did you guys get to take them home!

Nick

the beams are roughly 6 inches thick, 14 - 20 inches wide.

Did they have a special TS160 to cut those beams with?

It's been slow getting some photos that were taken at our Grand Opening event but here are a few.  Some how I seemed to dodge the camera so this was the only photo of me.  We were moving a huge tent from end of the parking lot to the other the day before the event when this was taken.

I love the ribbon cutting, that is awesome, more ribbon cutting should be done that way!

A few more photos...

#1 - The ribbon cutting by Ms. Barbara Austel
#2 - Ms. Maier-Stoll, owner of Tooltechnic Systems
#3 - Tom Silva, Martin Johnson and Christian

I liked how there was dust collection hooked up, even on ribbon cutting. And I am a big fan of Tom Silva. If any of you ever see him again, just tell him he has a big fan in Princeton, Indiana.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I am driving with my family from NY to IL and it just so happens that I have to drive through IN. Is it possible to just stop by the plant? This will probably be my first and last time in IN.

Wow, this post brings back pleasant memories. Festool has come so far since the early days back in 2000-2001 in their Goleta, CA headquarters, where IIRC, the CEO and CFO shared an office desk. There were no dealers at those days, only Independent Sales Agents (ISA's) and the Regional Sales Managers covered at least a half dozen states. Trade shows were staffed by Festool RSM's and we ISA's were paid a per-diem rate to work the booth and had dinner and drinks afterward. Virtually nobody attending the shows heard of Festool at that point in time and we could present the Festool magic in it's virginal glory  - dust free sanding, circular saws riding a track, jigsaws that cut the thickest materials with no lateral deflection............
One sad note since then is the passing of one of Festool's earliest reviewers and a true gentleman whom I've had the pleasure of visiting a few times- John Lucas. If there's a woodworking heaven, he's there.
I don't reminisce  about that Open House too often, but I am reminded every time I pour a cup of coffee into this mug how fortunate I was to be present at that event.
