As far as the RO 125, does anyone else have experience using the 125 and the 150? My heart was kinda set on the 125 for its medium size, price and because of the youtube videos I watched along with reviews. That being said I have noticed a lot of people liking the 150 or 90 better.
As a hobbyist, I wanted to see if one Festool sander would cover my needs. I thought the 150 was too large for my needs because I am not sanding everyday. Also some of the areas I sand are not parallel to the floor so I was concerned about the weight of the RO150. The RO90 seems to be a great solution but I already had another delta sander to get in corners as needed and I thought it was a little too small for sanding larger areas. I did however want a Rotex to have the dual modes of sanding. I went with the RO125. I have had very little need to use anything else since I purchased the RO125. I used it a lot today sanding a miter saw stand I am making for my new Kapex. Its a great all around sander.
I would not hesitate getting the 125 if that is want you want. Its a great solution.
PS - I have gravitated to using Festool Granat abrasives almost exclusively. I have lots of different grits. With different grits of Granat and the RO125 I have been able to cover any sanding task.
