I'm about to purchase the CMS.  Can the Jessem Clear Cut Stock Guides be used on the fence of the CMS?  I like the look very much.

My Clear Cut Guides fit into a T-slot on my router table fence. I don't believe the CMS fence has T-slots. Perhaps, an auxiliary fence with a T-slot could be rigged up?

There looks like there is slot on the CMS fence.  Is this not a T-slot?  I guess I should have paid more attention while I was drool on it in the store :)

Thanks, Jeff

There is a T slot in the CMS fence.

When I use the CMS fence I sometimes use the Festool supplied hold down to guide the stock but most of the time I use a power feed.

I find that the CMS fence is a PITA as it has no fine adjustment and the fence sometimes slips in position because the hold down screws are flimsy. I prefer to use my Incra fence which sits on dogs on the adjacent MFT.

I have them and they work fine in the CMS fence. They work even better in the Incra LS fence. Most folks here know that I am a big fan of the MFT + CMS-VL + Incra LS positioner + Precision Plate. Make a great setup and drastically more repeatable than the Fessy fence. Not for the feint of wallet though...

Cheers. Bryan.

I have seen your posts and I love your set up.  I'll be working my way in that direction, just need to stay on the good side of the "boss".  If I purchase things for a specific purpose, I get a little less hassle.

They work very well with the CMS OF fence.

I got mines because of Garry brought his set to my get together a couple of years ago.

I am now wondering if my CMS OF has a different fence profile than you guys.
Here are some pictures of the slot included in my fence.

CMS OF fence slot with with the standard T-Slot screw head inserted.
Slot in the fence is too loose allowing the screw to turn inside.

Close up of the same screw head inside a standard T-Slot.
Perfect fit prevents the screw from turning while the clamping knob is being tightened.

Looks like the same profile as mine but I have no problems tightening the thumbscrew - the head doesn't rotate in the slot despite it being smaller than the profile.

Hello FOG,

O.k., it is an old thread, I know.

I did a lot of routing last two weeks, was not really pleased with the OEM fence.
So this is what I did. Only the featherboards need some small modifications, M6 50mm screws and four sliding nuts. Already had the crown stops in shop ;-)
The Jessem rollers came with t-slot bolts, ordered here in Germanyhttps://www.feinewerkzeuge.de/

I'm using my CMS with router setup this week, I'll be following this example in the near future as well. Old thread and I hear the CMS setup has been discontinued. I think I'll snap up the VL, and Jigsaw module and the Belt sander modules an additional CMS table as back up. Being space limited and having three or for work places means it's really a great plus a mobile setup. It still looks modern and up to date too.
