Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

Has anyone asked for a 13 inch benchtop thickness planer with a spiral cutter head and pretty black and green markings. I would buy one in a minute. Sorry if I'm twicing, but it's a loooong thread and I'm too lazy to read the whole thing. :)

So you didn't get the secret discount code..... never mind! Actually that seems like a good package to me....but dang already have the Kapex.

Where do you get all the cool emoticons and do they come in a systainer?

Cheers,

Okay this is not Festool... but if you want as you say "A drywall cutout tool with extreme dust collection". Use a Fein Muti Master with a universal blade at a 45 degree angle . Take the Festool crevice tool and duct tape it on the bottom of the FMM very close to the blade. You will find the right distance from the cutting edge with a little practice. And then connect to a CT22 or bigger Festool extractor. You can cutout a section of sheet rock with a razor thin cut and use it as the patch.  I was working for engineer and he was a dust freak... (as am I) I bet him double the cost of the job or free if he had dust on his black baby grand piano. It was easy money...but betting is not legal in my state so I never did that...really IRS.

If you need to cut out Elec. boxes holes etc put a Y connection on the CT and have the FMM set as I stated above and then have the second hose pulling the dust from the back side of the cut.

Really this works very very well.

Cheers,
Steve

Doesn't Rotozip (Bosch) have this?  I usually use the Rotozip DR1 for drywall work which has a different end on it so you can't attach dust collection, but I also have the regular full Rotozip kit and I thought it had an adapter for dust hose pickup.  I'll check later today.

No, I didn't get the secret code yet.  I'm about to buy a Kapex, which will cause the package to become available 32 days later.

And to your second question:  http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php  Just copy the URL and substitute it for the # sign as an inserted inline image.

Yes, I have a new Rotozip 2000, too, but the dust collection still is messy.

How about a saw that doesn't produce dust in the first place?

::)

More realistically, how about a self-centering chuck?

Kind of like the self-centering bits, but the bit goes inside of it such that any bit up to some maximum diameter and length behaves as a self-centering one...

Two items for extractors.

AS gates for the "Y" connector so I don't have to lose suction or switch hoses all the time.

AS connector that lets me connect any size (they all have the same size going into the Extractor)  to a 27mm and one that would work for the 36mm and one for the 50mm.

Cheers,
Steve

Plus one on the gates  [big grin]

an easy mount router table for one of their own routers with the incremental raise/lower feature.

I also wish the Festool owners group monitors will add a request to keep sexist remarks about women ("Festool Women"? come on this is not jr. high) off this site.  I mean I can appreciate jokes but this is not the place for it.

I posted this on our Facebook fan page recently and there were a lot of responses.

Obviously, we've had many threads here with various "wishes" but in a word or two, let's hear what you wish Festool would offer that it currently doesn't.

PS - Please keep it clean.  [embarassed]
