And a small compressor, designed to fit into a Sys2.  I.e a very flat 1-2 gallon compressor.  Enough for a trim or pin nailer.
Plug-it socket, air coupler and power switch accessible from the outside.  Perhaps a Sys3 option which has some foams to reduce noise.

This has been asked for many times, but if Festool did ever make one, you wouldn't get it.

The reason given for the VacSys not being available stateside is that UL won't allow equipment designed to be operated whilst mounted inside a systainer. If you can't get something that sucks, you won't get something that blows.... [eek]

why put 1 in a systainer when you can make it the shape of a systainer and build the cathes into it etc.

jaysus dean, thats a very good idea especially for that early in the morning [tongue]

Fine by me. But on the other hand, wouldn't it be nice to find out how this issue actually came about? How can we learn from our mistakes if we don't even know what they are?  ::)

I believe she was referring to posts from page 1 of this thread.

Now back to tools and the wish list.

Page 1?  All the way pack der?  That was a year ago! When I was looking for that post I only went two pages back lol.

Hardly offensive either!  I thought it had more to it than that not just that word!

oh well Tools!

Der is a fe options

The BASIC CMS or the MFT/3 cms which requires you to have the MFT table also

I own both of them setups and find the basic cms a lot more useful for site lighter and easier to setup.  The MFT3 is more long term setup I dont use mine but I hope once I have my workshop it will come in.

I have the OF2200 which I fixed to the setup but all the other festool routers will fit also.

Has anyone mentioned a Festool Multimaster? Maybe add a lazer to it.

This minus the laser (WHY???)

It helps to mentally specify the target.  [big grin]

Nah I thought of a laser cuz it being a Fe$tool it cost double the price of a fein so it have to add something special to justify the price

Nah, Fein is also a "double priced" brand.

I commented on the other site and I see its not available in the US - it does sound like its not perfect though and I may just suck it up and get a 3.5 hp porter cable with a precision router lift table and make a new platen that can go into my Festool table.

If you're not going to go the shaper route, my recommendation is the Porter Cable 7518 in a good router lift with the Wixey digital height gauge to make setups and repeat cuts easier or if you already have a plunge router like the 7539 or maybe a Milwaukee, etc., then just a plate with the Wixey gauge if you can work that together.

If your plans include rail and stile work and want the speed + ease, maybe look at the double router setups with either 2 tables or the single large table and 2 routers.

I'm not too fond of what I've seen with people making a router table part of the MFT.  There are plenty of posts and pictures if you do a search.  Spend time researching it so you're happy with the end result, since there are a lot of possibilities.

...systainer for all the various bits that go with the OF1400. Bases, edge guides, copy rings, feet, wrench etc. I know most of it fits into the original systainer but a lot does not, and I am tired of everything knocking around and having to empty it all out to reach the wrench etc.

Rant over.

I think I will make myself a French fitting drawer in the bottom of another systainer in the meantime.

What's that then? Never heard of a 'French fitting drawer'...  ???

It's basically where the drawer bottom has an insert which is moulded round all the tools, just like the plastic systainer inserts. It can be made from cork, MDF, etc.

You see them a lot in cutlery sideboards, or gun cases, musical instrument cases etc.

He wants a Centrotec style chuck that will accept standard 1/4" shank hex bits without having to use an adapter.
