On a serious note...

How about a Festool loan scheme - to help young trades people get started? Festool would not need to be financially involved as it could easily be undertaken by experts in each country but Festool could do a deal with those providers and write the rules. Just like when you buy a car - the garages only offer the loans provided by completely independent financial people.

That's really small.  For that large of a size change, wouldn't a motor housing in a smaller tool[I know, ANOTHER sander to buy.. [wink]] be the better way to go? Just wondering.

Yes, it is small. I was doing this by hand, because the 90mm pad is too big...was thinking that if only I had a smaller attachment, then I would have flown threw this task. Pic below.

If you have a Fein MM you could use the sanding profile kit

Thanks, Greg. Just finished sanding it by hand. Yes, I will pick up the profile attachment before the next time. Good idea.

And I wish they made a better fence than the LA long version for the CMS Table saw. It doesn't seem to lock in parallel to the blade very well without a lot of fiddling.
Also whilst I think about it, a feather board for the CMS table saw is pretty much a necessity too.

A corded battery...

That is, an AC adaptor for the battery-powered tools that attaches the way a battery does.

zero clearance insert for Kapex.

ps...the European stuff everyone wants here, is that still Festool or under a different name?

I would really like to see the pad modularity of the RO 90 applied to the EST 125 and 150.  It would be a huge cost savings to buy a ETS 125 and be able to have a quick change a delta and rectangular pad.

I dare say you'll never see that on the 150's, but it'd be awesome as a ets125, dts400, rts400 option. I also think it's win/win for Festool as they'll sell heaps more abrasives to the "single sander family" and shops that use these tools a lot would just buy multiples anyway.

I have several Festool sanders, but only the dts400 out of the ets125, dts400, rts400 family set - I also have an ls130 with tons of compatible abrasives for the rts400 ... on to of thatI've got some 125 abrasives I won on a trigger happy ebay night after a couple of glasses of vino [embarassed]

This would get the [thumbs up] from me.

Yes that is about the only area of this router's design that I find to be a significant fault. Hence in some situations I just have to eat the dust and chips. [eek]

I wish festool would make an extended roller accessory for the Edge bander.

I have been making my own oak edging strips.

I can get them down to 1mm which makes them perfectly flexible enough for the festool edge bander BUT!

Using my thicknesser to get them that thin can be a hit and miss because it would sometimes swallow the strips or cuts/snaps them down in length randomly when they pass through.

Making them 2 to 2.5 mm is much easier BUT the edge bander has to be slightly off angle so not to bend the oak to much causing it to splinter/snap.

I have been using 2 to 2.5 mm no problem but i would prefer if the secondary wheel attachment came out further (adjustable) to apply final pressure on the surface.

Ill attach some pictures showing the accessory attachment wheel I am referring to.

+1 jmb. Big design flaw and makes the machine almost pointless for me the amount of hassle doing 2mm solid. Proper pony.

Yeah I think it is something festool should of picked up on.

It took me 10 seconds.

Straight away I thought if this accessory wheel would extend forward it would be problem solved.

I did some at a strong to 2.5mm 3mm thick edging.

Got poor results really.  They where to thick ended up rotating edge bander so much it was to far away from the edge really to apply proper pressure onto the surface.    If it had an extendable wheel I'm sure it would do the job.

Thicker I can get the edging the better 2-3mm is nice decent edge.

Yeah the stuff we get on the reel is 2mm thick. If it cant do that which is industry standard no point for me.
