Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

Festool Wishlist (not in order, and +1 to a few others wishes)

* Air compressor in Systainer

This times 1,000.  Give me a 3/4 to 1 gallon tank, 3 to 4 CFM at 90 PSI, at about 60-65db max packed into a SYS 4 or 5.  Something you can run a finish nailer off of when working alone, not doing 100 nails per minute with someone racking the materials for you.  Winner winner chicken dinner. Not an engineer, so don't know if it is possible...

Actually no, I've got a non Festool jig like that and they're just barely OK and not accurate.  From Festool I'd rather see a base that attaches to the body of a Festool drill, not one that provides an intermediate chuck, provides a rigid flat base, has a solid back spine, and uses a cam action to raise/lower the drill into the work and maybe has a depth stop.  Like a real drill press.  A first try would maybe have form fitting holders that match the shape of the specific drill body to hold it in place, but future possibilities would be putting standardized attachment holes in the top of future drill models which would be used to mount the drill into a single holder.  Bonus points if that solid base was a modified Systainer (maybe with an aluminum top section) which could be used to store it.

Drill press attachment.

Is https://www.festool.co.uk/Products/...=768768&name=Drill-stand-for-carpentry-GD-320 (768768) the sort of thing you mean?

Peter

A jig or housing to use the mortise and tenon dominoe as a stand alone unit. So repeatability and production can or could becom it's function. Instead of just hand use.

Sprior, this one accepts the common 43mm neck drills...works with my Milwaukees, amazon.com/Wolfcraft-4522-Mobil-Drill-Stand and has dust extraction port

I wish Festool made a Blum hinge drilling attachment. One that can drill the cup as well as the screw holes.

What's wrong with the Blum Ecodrill? It does a fine job drilling the holes you're asking for.
Do you think Festool will make a better one as they always claim?

I wish Festool made their metric tools available for us in North America!  [dead horse]

It's not GREEN! ;)

A cordless OF1400 Router. Id like to see something similar to the cordless plunge saw set up where you can run it with a single 5.2ah 18v battery or double them up to run at 36v.

I work a lot on site and am bored of lugging a huge generator about, constantly refuelling it.

Alternatively, a Festool power hub with a giant battery pack allowing me to run 110v tools from it and to charge Festool batteries simultaneously. Something I would recharge at home overnight.

The second either of these hit the market. I'm in.

I wish that Festool would continue to make METRIC scaled tools in the USA.

+1...

But isn't this the wrong thread for that?    [huh]

Should he have used a metric thread? [scratch chin]

[member=40772]Holmz[/member] you don't SAE

Makes me wonder why the Proclaimers (Scotts) wrote their very catchy song in the 80's as "I would walk 500 miles"...

And you are all welcome for singing or humming that in your head for the rest of the day!  ;^)

Cheers.  Bryan.

I wish Festool made an attachment so the Syslite could be clicked on to the end of the boom arm to cast light on my table, it could be a great inexpensive accessory.

Another idea is to sell a separate light for this function or even include an LED down light in the boom arm kit.

I rigged up my own LED attached to the boom arm for now.

[member=3373]Dovetail65[/member] I believe you could use a handlebar camera mount successfully ...
